The Jacaranda

October is the time for the Jacaranda bloom in Sydney. A friend even remarked that the Jacranda is the “Western version of the Sakura (cherry blossom)”. It is said that one is favored by fortune if the blossoms falls on your head. Yet many in the University will say, if you have not started preparing for your exams by the time you see the Jacranda bloom, you are in serious trouble.

I think I better go shake the Jacaranda tree. I need some good fotune to pass the exams.
